- 36C24424Q0165 0002 Questions and Answers The purpose of this amendment is to provide answers to questions submitted by potential contractors. Question: I wanted to ask if the above referenced opportunity is a sole Set-Aside for veterans? Answer: Yes, at this time 36C24424Q0165 is set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). Question: I wanted to ask if you could please explain the statement: (up to 32 hours per encounter, estimated 14 encounters per month). Would encounter mean veteran? As if to say the maximum is 32 hrs. per veteran? Example: Veteran John has a companion 4 days per week for 8 hrs. for a total of 32 hrs. max. Answer: Encounter could also be thought of as a Visit, or an Occurrence. One encounter equates to the total amount of time for one Veteran for one specific visit. Having a procedure involving anesthesia can potentially be a long process. This time would begin when the veteran is picked up from their home until the time that they are safety back at their home and the prescribed hours for safe recovery have been fulfilled. Although 32 hours would be rare at the highest end of the range of our time period, a veteran potentially could need companion services for that amount of time. Question: Understanding that my team would be responsible for providing care for up to 14 veterans per month? Am I understanding this correctly? Answer: We are estimating having up to 14 veteran encounters for companion services each month. The days of the week these encounters will fall on depends on when the veteran has an appointment. Question: There seems to be a discrepancy in the information provided on sam.gov. The description mentions ""Page 1 of 70,"" but upon reviewing the attached documents, one indicates 62 pages, and the other, 3. Could you kindly address this inconsistency? Answer: This inconsistency was previously addressed in Amendment 0001. Note: The original solicitation 36C24424Q0165 was 62 pages, not including the cover pages created by sam.gov. 36C24424Q0165 0001 is a total of 4 pages, to include the sam.gov generated cover page. Question: We are inquiring about the instructions to offerors, specifically whether the solicitation is seeking Technical and Pricing Volume. Answer: The Instructions to Offerors are included on page 34 of 62 from the original solicitation and were supplemented by Amendment 0001 of the solicitation. Question: Could you clarify if this opportunity pertains to a Task Order under an already awarded BPA? Answer: This Opportunity does not pertain to a Task Order under an already awarded BPA. This will be a new BPA. Question: Will there be any page limits imposed by the government? Answer: Microsoft Outlook has a 25 MB limit. It is crucial that you include the regions of the city that you are able to provide service to. The more detailed that you are, the better. We will need to provide these services to veterans within a 50-mile radius in all directions and may make multiple awards to cover different regions.
