- Description
- Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) and Naval Information Warfare Centers (NIWC) Atlantic and Pacific announce the Information Warfare Research Project (IWRP) Consortium Virtual Industry Day hosted by Advanced Technology International (ATI), the IWRP consortium management firm, on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at 1300 Eastern Time. The event will include technical briefs, one-on-one break-out sessions, and a round table, with scheduled IWRP consortium members. It is anticipated that the topics may be the basis of upcoming Requests for Prototype Projects (RPPs) to IWRP consortium members. This is not an RPP and is intended for planning purposes only. A project will not be awarded from this announcement. In order to obtain more information regarding the below projects, you must be a member of the IWRP consortium. For more information on becoming an IWRP consortium member, please visit https://www.theiwrp.org. The purpose of this announcement is to provide members of the IWRP consortium, and industry in general, advanced notification of government intent. The Government will be presenting two (2) Pre-Solicitation Collaborations (PSCs), which will include a short brief and one-on-one breakout sessions. The PSC topics consist of the following: 1)USMC Barracks Access Control System. NIWC Atlantic seeks a CAC-enabled access control system that will be installed on more than 60,000 doors at barracks around the U.S. Marine Corps. The system will allow for only authorized individuals to access barracks doors and will have a cloud-based management platform that can be accessed from any Marine Corps installation. 2)Rapid Resourcing. NIWC Atlantic is seeking a rapid resourcing solution, augmented by the use of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML), to identify a candidate pool for supporting a variety of Information Warfare requirements. This could include identifying people or teams of people to support a short term requirement or longer term government staffing requirements. The Government will be presenting one (1) Technical Collaboration Exchange (TCE), which will include a short brief and round table discussions. The TCE topic consists of the following: 1)Flexible Lab Infrastructure for the NeXt generation (FLIX). The government seeks to solve inherent issues with working with multiple security enclaves and multiple environments that need to be physically separated, such as development and production. The result and benefits lay in ease of access to systems (i.e., being able to switch between development and production environments), or between security enclaves (being able to communicate over Non-Secure Internet Protocol Router [NIPR} and Secure Internet Protocol Router [SIPR]). The next generation workforce expects to be able to access data from any location. This effort seeks to make an incremental step in that direction and better utilize unclassified and classified space by making every work space available for every project to utilize.
