Description
THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) AND NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE This announcement serves as a notice of intent to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 13.106. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811310, which is $12.5 Million. This is the only announcement that will be issued prior to award. The US Bureau of Reclamation (USBR), California Great Basin Region, intends to award a purchase order on a sole source basis with Milton S Frank Co Inc. who contracts through Flowserve. Flowserve will replace shaft and repair one (1) Worthington Horizontal Between-Bearings Split Case Centrifugal Pump for the Central California Area Office of the California Great Basin Region, Bureau of Reclamation for the Great Basin Region- Central California Area Office (CCAO) under the authority of FAR 13.501. Flowserve is the original equipment manufacturer of this pump line since Worthington is one of several legacy pump companies that merged or was acquired to create Flowserve. Since Flowserve is the OEM of the pump 3, they have all the proprietary OEM documents and drawings that include the tolerances, clearances, and parts list that are pertinent to the repair of the pump. Therefore, to meet USBR requirement for repair, every company must use Milton S. Frank and Flowserve to repair pump 3. Firms which can provide the services above must submit written notice to the Contracting Officer and must provide evidence in sufficient detail to demonstrate the respondents ability to meet the stated requirement. This is not a request for competitive quotations. All responses received by the due date will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
