Description
The U.S. Army Contracting Command � New Jersey, on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager, Maneuver Ammunition System (PM MAS), intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the 12 Gauge Breaching M1030 (AA54) Ammunition Cartridges, utilizing full and open competition (F&OC) procedures.� The 12 Gauge Breaching cartridge shall be compatible for use in the Mossberg Model 590, Remington 870, and Benelli M1014. It is intended for training exercises or use in combat by the warfighter. The M1030 has the capability to defeat grade 2 locking mechanisms and standard 4-inch residential hinges, or equivalent, without producing significant fragmentation that could injure the gunner. Specifications:� The Contractor shall manufacture, test, inspect, package, and deliver the 12 Gauge Breaching M1030 Cartridges in accordance with Military Specification MIL-PRF-32300A W / AMENDMENT 3, which shall be the governing document / requirement. The anticipated solicitation will provide details on how to obtain this military specification.� Planned acquisition:� The solicitation will use F&OC. The intent is to award a single Requirements Contract with five, 12-month, Firm Fixed price ordering periods from FY24-29 with a possible total quantity of approximately 1,680,000 rounds. The following ordering periods are anticipated: Ordering Period (OP) 1: 12 months from date of award OP 2: 12 months from the end of ordering period 1 OP 3: 12 months from the end of ordering period 2 OP 4: 12 months from the end of ordering period 3 OP 5: 12 months from the end of ordering period 4 Please note this notice does not constitute an RFP and is not construed as a commitment by the US. Government.� Responses to this announcement are not proposals and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.� This is not a guarantee of a future RFP/solicitation or an award. This is a presolicitation notice and the Government anticipates that a formal solicitation will be issued on or about 21 February 2023.� All information is to be furnished at no obligation to the Government.
