- Description
- This effort is for the purchase of five (5) Pedestal Control System (PCS) Drive Assemblies in support of the GLOBUS-S Subsystem. The Pedestal Control System (PCS) supports the rotational movement of the radar system. This assembly communicates with the Servo Controller to command the speed and direction of rotation of the pedestal. The PCS consists of a drive assembly and gearbox as well as limit switches to control the extent of the radar's movement and provide critical safety functions. The PCS drive assembly consists of a custom servo motor, brake, and encoder and must be tested after assembly to guarantee compliance with specification requirements. GLOBUS is a classified Joint Program. Maintenance and operation is performed at the OCONUS site by personnel employed by the Joint partner. The missions are of a highly specialized nature, utilizing specialty type equipment and requiring highly trained personnel. The organization for logistical and technical support is AFLCMC/HBGH at Robins AFB GA. The current PCS drive assembly was installed as part of the original system and no spares were procured as part of that effort. Calculations provided from OEM analysis determined the MTBF of this part to be greater than 87,600 hours. This procurement is for an estimated number of spares for the remaining lifetime of the system. Pricing arrangement should be bid as Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and be submitted ON OR BEFORE 4 PM EST 21 February 2024. Proposal validity is 90 days. The proposal should include a statement that your certifications and representations contained within the SAM system are current and applicable. Provide any updates to your certifications and representations that might impact this order. Your primary points of contact for this effort are Brandon Jones at brandon.jones.96@us.af.mil, and Jessica Roberts at jessica.roberts.21@us.af.mil.
