SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS: Sources Sought Number:������������������ �������������������� ����������� Notice Type: N4215824RC40380��� ����������������������������������������������������������� Sources Sought Synopsis: 1.� NOTICE:� This is not a solicitation but rather a Sources Sought Synopsis to determine potential sources outside of the suggested sole source, (NEWCO, INC) for information purposes only. 1.1 The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct market research to determine if any responsible sources exist, outside of the suggested sole source, (IAW: DFARS PGI 206.302-1) and the Government is interested in large and small businesses concerns. The proposed North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 811210 Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance, which has a corresponding Size Standard of $30M. The Government requests that interested parties respond to this notice if applicable and identify your small business status to the identified NAICS code. B.����������� Short circuit test between the headstock and tailstock. C.����������� Quick break function test (only on 3 phase FWDC machines).� Note:� Quick Break Function test shall be performed using a certified Magnaflux Quick Break Tester, Model QB-2.� Magnaflux Quick Break Tester, part number 148335, is not acceptable for this test. D.����������� Drain bath and inspect tank and plumbing / hoses for foreign material.� E.����������� Refill bath and check pump and fluid hose circulation, bath level and bath concentration.� (Note: Norfolk Naval Shipyard will provide Carrier II fluid and Magnaflux 14A powder to refill the bath). F.����������� Pneumatic and electrical operation of the headstock (includes headstock, footswitch and air solenoid valve, if applicable). G.���������� Function of cooling fans inside the unit. ��������������� H.����������� Electrical checkout of all operating relays timers and contactors. I.������������ Physical condition of contactors. J.������������ Physical inspection of all electrical wiring and cables. K.����������� Operational check of all switches and controls associated with the unit. L.������������ Any item found during the inspection is documented and corrected (not to exceed $400 in repairs) during the service call. M.��������� Inspection and replacement of modules for magnetic particle inspection unit, model 3009R-6. N.���������� Provide diagnostic for any part of the machine that does not work properly and provide quote for repairs that exceed $400. The Awardee shall be factory trained to perform work on listed equipment and be ISO 17025 accredited.� The Awardee shall verify equipment performance is satisfactory and functioning properly.� The Awardee shall be able to meet entry and security requirements to Norfolk Naval Shipyard Market Survey: Please describe your company�s ability to provide preventative maintenance on the above items.� Please state your business size (small or large) based upon the size standard above. If you would like to propose an alternate NAICS Code please state why another NAICS Code would better fit this requirement.
