- Description
- The North Texas Veterans Health Care System (NTVHCS) is committed to providing quality care to our Veteran population. The mission of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service (P&LMS) is to provide timely Laboratory testing services to the clinicians for the diagnosis and treatment of all veterans. The services provided are comprehensive and reflect a national standard of practice. However, the P&LMS is currently experiencing a shortage of Cytotechnologists to meet its own requirements and patient care is being delayed. Therefore, to meet the clinical needs of our patients, NTVHCS is seeking a contract for a full time Cytotechnologist based on VA vacancies. The Contractor shall furnish one (1) Cytotechnologist certified in their respective fields by an accredited program (i.e., American Society of Clinical Pathologists) to provide services and technical assistance to the P&LMS area within the NTVHCS. The services to be performed by the contractor shall be performed in accordance with VA policies and procedures and the regulations of medical staff by laws of the VA facility. Contractor is required to maintain medical liability insurance for the duration of this BPA. Contractor shall indemnify the Government for any liability producing act or omission by the Cytotechnologists and occurring during this agreement. The term of the contract is a base year plus four (4) one-year option periods. Solicitation documents are anticipated to be available on February 29, 2024, or shortly thereafter and will be posted via the Contract Opportunities website. Prospective Offerors should not expect notification of issuance of amendments other than via the Contract Opportunities website and are responsible for obtaining all amendments as posted. Prospective Offerors are encouraged to register their interest in the solicitation on the Contract Opportunities website so that they are notified of the issuance of the solicitation and any amendments. Offerors are encouraged and are responsible for routinely checking this website for any solicitation amendments that may be issued throughout the proposal period.
