- Description
- The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) St. Paul District intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for mechanical dredging services on the Mississippi and Minnesota Rivers in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, and Missouri. Project work includes, but is not limited to, furnishing all plant, labor, material, and equipment necessary for dredging with a backhoe, dragline, or other mechanical equipment on marine plant, and transporting dredged�material to designated placement sites. Contractor shall furnish, deliver, and operate dredge and attendant plant�for maintenance dredging between Upper Mississippi River Miles 614.0 and 857.6 and between Minnesota River�Miles 0.0 and 14.7 in the St. Paul District and between Upper Mississippi River Miles 614.0 and 300.0 in the Rock�Island District. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. The Government intends to award an Indefinite Delivery�Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract consisting of a base period and four option periods.�he estimated magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000 for the base period is between $1 mllion and $5 nillion. The appropriate NAICS code for this� procurement is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction which Dredging falls under with a small business size standard of $37,000,000. The resulting contract shall be a Firm, Fixed-Price contract. This solicitation shall be a Total Small Business set-aside. The solicitation will be an Invitation for Bid (IFB). This is a pre-solicitation notice, and as such, any additional information as�to the size and/or scope of the project will not be vailable until the issuance�of the IFB. The definitive quote due date and time will be stated in the�solicitation and any associated mendments that may be issued.�No CD's or hard copies of this notice or the solicitation will be available.�Offerors are responsible for checking the SAM.gov website for any�update(s) to the Notice. The Government is not responsible for any loss of�Internet connectivity or for an offeror's inability to access the document�posted at the referenced website. For contractors to conduct business with the Department of Defense,�thecontractor must provide registration information to the� System for�Award Management (SAM).
