Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking semiannual elevator inspection services for the Durham VAMC, located at 508 Fulton St, Durham, NC 27705, for the period May 1, 2024 through April 30, 2025 with the potential for four one year options. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for quote (RFQ) and it does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Request for a solicitation will not receive a response. The purpose of this notice is acquisition planning, to determine whether an SDVOSB or another socio-economic set-aside is possible. VA will consider SDVOSB and VOSB that are currently SBA Vet Cert verified. The anticipated NAICS code is 541350- Building Inspection Services, with a $11.5 Million size standard. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials and supervision to perform semiannual inspection and maintenance evaluation on (24) twenty- four elevators at the Durham VAMC. VA is seeking responses from capable SDVOSB, VOSB, and other small business providers who hold current licenses and permits to conduct inspection services in accordance with ANSI/ASME A17.1 Safety code for Elevators and Escalators and ANSI/ASME A17.3 Safety Code for Existing Elevators and Escalators. Inspection procedures shall be in accordance with ANSI/ASME A17.2, OSHA Standards 29 CFR 1917.116 Elevators and Escalators and VA Form 10-6166, Report Inspection of Elevators or equivalent. Interested parties should reply to Yanique.williamschin@va.gov on or before 11:00 am local time on February 21, 2024 with a statement of interest that identifies the corporate name and UEI number, as well as a brief statement of capability that includes similar scope of work performed in the previous two years. All capable Service-Disabled Veteran Small Businesses are encouraged to respond. The Government will not pay for any information solicited. The response should be limited to three pages. A solicitation for these services will be posted to the GPE mid-next month. No further information is available at this time. Thank you for your interest.
