- Statement of Work VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System / University Drive Campus BeaconMedaes SN: API774620 LES Medical Air Compressor Repairs This Medical Air Compressor is a triplex system and Proprietary to the Medical Center to provide medical air for the Bed Tower medical air distribution system. This air compressor is a critical piece of equipment to provide medical grade air to patient rooms and our Sterile Process Department (SPD). There are 2 of the 3 air compressors motors out of service currently for this critical air system. Compressor motor #1 needs a new motor end unit assembly and new belts, filters and associated hardware to be put back into service. Compressor motor #2 needs new belts, filters and associated hardware to be put back into service. All necessary labor for the installation and repair of both medical air compressor motors #1 and #2 and to include all parts as needed. Contractor to provide complete start up and commissioning of both repaired compressor motors. Contractor to put the air compressor back in full-service capabilities of all 3 compressor motors working in sequence as needed (lead /lag) Contractor to provide 1 new motor end unit assembly, belts and filters and associated hardware for this triplex system as a spare in case of an emergency failure to repair the compressor immediately. This work can be completed during normal daylight hours Monday thru Friday 7am to 330pm. Excluding holidays. VA maintenance personnel will escort the contractor during these repairs and witness all start up and commissioning of this critical equipment. Contractor to provide a written assessment of the operation of the Proprietary medical air compressor and warranties.
