- SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS: Sources Sought Number:������������������ �������������������� ����������� Notice Type: N4215824RC40399��� ����������������������������������������������������������� Sources Sought Synopsis: 1.� NOTICE:� This is not a solicitation but rather a Sources Sought Synopsis to determine potential sources outside of the suggested sole source, (BFPE INTERNATIONAL) for information purposes only. 1.1 The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct market research to determine if any responsible sources exist, outside of the suggested sole source, (IAW: DFARS PGI 206.302-1) and the Government is interested in large and small businesses concerns. The proposed North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 562211 - Hazardous Waste Treatment and Disposal, which has a corresponding Size Standard of $47M. The Government requests that interested parties respond to this notice if applicable and identify your small business status to the identified NAICS code. Additionally, please provide a capabilities statement, confirming your availability to provide the described service/supplies. 2.� Program Details: Requirement Need: At this time, a contractor is needed to pick up 449 fire extinguishers from Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) for disposal. Fire Extinguisher removal is quarterly/semi-annually requirement in efforts to remain in compliance with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as not to incur fines. NNSY is required to divert waste from the landfill and through programs such as this. �The contractor shall pick up a shipment of fire 449 extinguishers.�The fire extinguishers are properly packaged and secured and will be picked-up from Norfolk Naval Shipyard.�A minimum of three days� notice must be given to the technical point of contact before pickup. The contractor shall pick up a total of�449�fire extinguishers however, it is expected there may be more. Additional pick up of fire extinguishers outside of the scope is permitted�provided a�new�quote is provided for approval and�contract modification�is submitted.�Additional recycling work�cannot be performed until contract is modified for processing.� PKP cylinders are non-hazardous and are not subject to hazardous waste regulations. Disposal and/or recycling will occur at the contractor�s location. The Awardee shall be able to meet entry and security requirements to Norfolk Naval Shipyard Market Survey: Please describe your company�s ability to this service. �� Please state your business size (small or large) based upon the NAICS Code and size standard. Please confirm that you are registered in SAM and accept invoicing through Wide Area Workflow (WAWF).� If you would like to propose an alternate NAICS Code please state why another NAICS Code would better fit this requirement.
