- Notice Type: Special Notice Notice Number:� HHS-NIH-NCI-SN-MOSB-75N91020R00062-29 Synopsis: Respond to questions received in regard to Special Notice HHS-NIH-NCI-SN-MOSB-75N91020R00062-27 for the National Cancer Institute�s (NCI) Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC)/Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research (FNLCR) Date: February 28, 2024 Note:��THIS IS A SPECIAL NOTICE, NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL, PROPOSAL ABSTRACTS OR QUOTATIONS. This notice is pursuant to FAR_5.201(b)(1)(ii). PURPOSE: The purpose of this Special Notice is to answer questions submitted in response HHS-NIH-NCI-SN-MOSB-75N91020R00062-27: Question: Please provide in as much detail as possible on the current acquisition schedule, including your current status (i.e. peer review complete?, proposal evaluations complete?, competitive range established?, etc.) and your plans and timing for discussions/negotiations, RFP amendments, potential final proposal revisions, and award? Response: As provided in the public announcement released January 31, 2024, the NCI is planning to award the contract on/or around December 18, 2024. It is the Government�s intention to open negotiations after review of internal documents is completed. Question: How does the 3-year extension to the incumbent FNLCR contract align with the latest FNLCR acquisition schedule? Response: The NCI released an amended special (HHS-NIH-NCI-FFRDC-MOSB-0002) notice indicating that the proposed extension has been reduced from 3 years to 12 months. Question: To ensure we understand the current contract, which is the starting point for the transition, we request that NCI provide a copy of the contract modification(s) effecting the option terms identified in notice HHS-NIH-NCI0FFRDC-MOSB-0001 and any related sole source Justification and Approval for extending the current FNLCR contract. Response: No modifications have been executed to the SOW as of this date.� Any information that is pertinent to interested parties will be released through public notice when we are able to do so. Question: Is there anything that you need to share with us to ensure we have the same information about the procurement as the incumbent contractor? Response: Any information related to the re-competition is provided to all parties through the Special Notices released in SAM.Gov. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: � Additional information concerning the competitive process for the contract will be announced on https://sam.gov/ as well as at the FNLCR Acquisition Portal: https://www.cancer.gov/about-nci/contracts/fnlcr-acquisitions/.
