- Description
- The Combat Capabilities Development Command Armaments Center (DEVCOM), Munitions Engineering & Technology Center (METC), FCDD-ACM-M at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, is conducting market research to determine the ability of RFID Software and Support. The objective of this effort is to design and deploy a computer-based system that utilizes Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology or other similar technology, to assist with the Government accountability property tracking process. Every piece of accountable property will have an individual RFID tag applied to it, which will be linked with the information on the item and loaded into a database (or other computer software).� The appropriate receiver technology will be connected to a laptop computer and the computer will be able to interrogate the RFID Tags in its proximity and record the presence of the property that is in the area.� �� The contractor shall be responsible for providing: The development, installation and troubleshooting of the computer software required to accomplish this effort (including permanent licenses as required).� Any Interface(s) required to get the reader to connect to and operate on a Government owned laptop on it�s network.� The labor required to convert current Hand Receipt data (Stored primarily on multiple MS-Excel spreadsheets) to the appropriate computer software. The labor required to train a total of five system operators on how to operate the system. A minimum of Four RFID receivers / transceivers that will connect via USB ports to laptop computers. A minimum of 2,500 RFID �tags� that can be applied to the accountable property. The RFID (or similar) system shall be able to receive data from tags that are not less than 15 feet away.� The software should be capable of handling a minimum of 8 fields for each item (Item Description, Item Serial Number, HR Holder, RFID Tag Number, Dollar Value, and three �Other� fields � to be addressed at some time in the future). The contractor shall have a total of 6 months to complete the effort and deliver a fully functional system. The official response must be submitted to: tyler.w.fulper.civ@army.mil by March 21, 2024 by 12:00 (noon) eastern standard time. Phone inquiries will not be addressed; all requests should be submitted in writing via email. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the survey.
