This is a Sources Sought Announcement only. Please note that no award will be issued from this Notice. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes � it does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Invitation for Bid (IFB)/Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ, IFB or RFP in the future. This notice does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for any supply or service. Further, the U.S. Government is not seeking quotes, bids or proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals in response to this sources sought notice. The U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice. Submittals will not be returned to the responder. Not responding to this notice does not preclude participation in any future RFQ or IFB or RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Government-wide Point of Entry (GPE) through sam.gov. It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor the GPE for additional information pertaining to this requirement.� Basic Services: The contractor shall procure food rations to feed 3,500 personnel, three (3) hot meals daily.� Specific Tasks: The contractor will source food items based on a 7-day menu cycle based on Kenyan and Caribbean countries dietary requirements.� Preferred menu options include-- - Protein: � Beef, fish, lamb, mutton, goat, pork, chicken and other birds � Milk, yoghurt, eggs � Legumes (beans, peas and soya) � Nuts and seeds - Carbohydrates: � Rice, maize, wheat, amaranth, cassava, millet, sorghum, oats � Potatoes: white, sweet, plantains, yams � Legumes: peas, beans, lentils � Fruits: apples, tomatoes, strawberries, guava, melons, � Dark leafy greens, carrots, pumpkin, butternut, peas, okra, - Unsaturated Fats: � Plant oils � Nuts, seeds � Oily fish � Avocado - Saturated Fats: � Butter, cream, cheese, coconut, meats ADDED: Question & Answer Q:�Is this purely supply of food and beverages or you would need us to provide catering and facility management services on DFAC�s? A:�The requirement is for solely procurement of food and beverages. Facilities management and cooking services are not being requested at this time.
