Description
The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing a solicitation for one to two service providers to sell firewood in the Platte River campground and the D.H.Day Campground operating under a 2-year Commercial Use Authorization. Separate applications must be submitted for each location. The entire application information package may be downloaded at Commercial Use Authorizations - Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore (U.S. National Park Service) (https://www.nps.gov/slbe/learn/management/cua.htm). A site visit is scheduled for both campgrounds on February 23, 2024. D.H. Day Campground will open from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. followed by the Platte River Campground from 11:00 a.m. to noon. Any questions regarding this solicitation must be submitted in writing to Kelly Kager, Commercial Services Management Specialist, via email (kelly_kager@nps.gov) no later than 4:00 p.m. Central Time on February 29, 2024. To receive answers to any questions posed regarding this business opportunity, please provide Concessions Management Specialist Kelly Kager, Interior Regions 3, 4, 5, with your contact information (name, email address, and phone number) at kelly_kager@nps.gov. The NPS will send any additional information specific to the Business Opportunity in writing, via email, to those interested parties who have been placed on the contact list. Information relative to the solicitation will also be posted to the above-mentioned website. Questions and responses have been posted. Applications will be accepted in a two-part process during a designated �open season� � beginning February 9, 2024, and ending March 8, 2024.
