- Contract Number N66001-24-P-6048 was awarded, on 20 December 2023, to Planet Labs Federal, Inc., with a total Firm-Fixed-Price contract value amount of $6,525,000.00 in support of the Maritime Security Initiative (MSI), with FMS Funds. The effort involves a commercial satellite electro-optical (SAT-EO) subscription, provided by Planet Labs Federal, Inc., to provide enhanced regional maritime domain awareness (MDA) by detecting �Dark Targets� that either lack automated identification systems (AIS) transponders, or have chosen to turn them off. Planet Labs Federal, Inc., provided the lowest price in response to Solicitation No. N66001-24-Q-6048 while meeting the minimum Satellite Electro-Optical (SAT-EO) Imagery requirements below: �EO ship detections with image chip (5 Mb or less) and associated metadata (Time of collection, Position, Vessel Length, Vessel Width, Orientation, Ground Sample Distance (GSD)) into SeaVision via the API. Delivery format is required to be JSON; �Minimum of 4m resolution for daily collection; �Ability to go up to 0.5m resolution within 24 hour per ad hoc tasking request up to 10,000 square kilometers during POP; �Ability to access and display full EO TIFF images on an as needed basis; �90% of vessel detection images delivered within 24 hours from image acquisition to SeaVision; �A minimum of 50% coverage of entire AOI within a four (4) day period; �Coverage of costal/port areas required; �Ability to create derived products based on received imagery; and �Single point of contact for tasking.
