Description

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) intends to solicit and award a sole source firm-fixed price purchase order for procurement of two (2) Life Technologies Corporation(also known as Applied Biosystems or its parent company, Thermo Fisher Scientific) VeritiPro Thermal Cyclers with a trade in option. Proposed Contractor: Life Technologies Corporation 3175 Staley Road Grand Island,New York 14072 USA UEID: JXAKAG32BVN4 CAGE: 0JLD2 The authority used for the sole source is FAR 13.106-1(b)(i). This announcement constitutes the only notification of the ATF�s intent to solicit on a sole source basis.� A formal combined synopsis/solicitation will not occur.� All solicitation communication will occur directly with the proposed contractor. This acquisition is for a commercial item or service and is conducted under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13�Simplified Acquisition Procedures and FAR Part 12�Acquisition of Commercial Items.� It is not expected to exceed the simplified acquisition threshold. The notice of award and the written sole source justification will be posted after award.
