- The purpose of this amendment 0001 is to post Questions and Answers: PWS Section PWS Title/Topic Question Answer 3.2.4 Special Qualifications Required Qualifications/Certifications for 508 SME, the requirement states that the position requires a Bachelor degree. Is there an equivalent to experience that can meet this requirement? PWS states, Five (5) or more years of experience in accessibility support, including document and website remediation. Additionally, experience with assistive technology tools to include at a minimum a screen reader is preferred. 3.2.4 Special Qualifications PWS States: CPWA (Certified Professional in Web Accessibility) or equivalent. Question: Would IAAP CPACC Certification be an acceptable equivalent for this certification? Yes, acceptable certifications include IAAP, DHS TT or CPWA. 3.2.4 Special Qualifications PWS States: The contractor shall provide 508 compliance coding expertise in the following programming languages: HTML, JavaScript, Delphi, MUMPS and other web content development languages. Question: What level of experience is required? Yes, acceptable certifications include IAAP, DHS TT or CPWA. 5.0 Specific Tasks and Deliverables PWS States: The contractor shall provide support services for accessibility remediation of ICT, specifically including web content (web hosted applications, SharePoint sites, websites,) desktop applications, eLearning, mobile and documents for VA. All such services will be in compliance with applicable laws, standards, and policies, as determined by the VA Section 508 Program Office. Question: Will the contractor be required to modify the code or test and provide testing results for the VA? No, it is unlikely the Government will provide access to the code level. Testing requirements are covered in PWS Section 5.2.
