Description
Title: LabTech Lab Furniture and Fume Hood Solicitation PLEASE SEE ATTACHED SOLICITATION (SF1449) for full details and to provide quote. BRIEF DESCRIPTION: This is a Brand Name or Equal requirement for LabTech Metallurgical Lab Furniture and Fume Hood Replacement. The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, transportation, supplies, supervision, assembly, etc. (except as noted), necessary to provide laboratory grade furniture, and fume/vapor hood replacement to the Supply Center Columbus (DSCC), DLA Land and Maritime, Product Test Center Division, Metallurgical Lab, Columbus, Ohio. The individual deliverables with their quantities and part numbers are listed in Section C, subsection 7 of the performance work statement in the attached solicitation. The deliverables must meet the following salient characteristics: a. Base, legs, backs, cabinets, cases, tabletops, and frames shall be constructed of heavy gage steel with at least 18-20 gage thickness. b. Surfaces shall have a protective coating to prevent against rust and be chemical resistant. c. Standing and counter heights should be standard 35� high x 22' deep. d. Acids/Corrosive/Flammable storage cabinets shall be of reinforced steel and coated to prevent corrosion with a standard height of 35� high x 22� deep. e. Wall cases are to have a minimum of two shelves, glass framed, hinged, and constructed of heavy gage steel with at least 18-20 gage thickness. f. Fume Hood must meet Industry ASHRAE 110, and OSHA Standards, 1910.1003. g. Fume Hood selected must be of an Airfoil Bypass design. h. Fume Hood's air fl?ow shall be at minimum of 75 feet Per Minute at Face Velocity. (DLA Industrial Hygienists will be required to test once installation is complete). i. Selected Fume Hood must be able to adapt to current air blower configuration. (DLA facilities will be consulted prior to finalizing for connecting to existing vents). j. Selected Fume Hood must be able to provide switching for lights and blower. k. Selected Fume Hood must be able to be configured for at minimum 16x12x8� drop-in sink. l. Tabletop for fume hood shall be black in color and be chemical resistant. m. Chairs shall be composed of vinyl, spring tension adjustable, nylon bases, nylon casters with foot rings.
