- The Bureau of Reclamation, Missouri Basin Region, intends to issue a Commercial Request for Quote (RFQ) for the following Brand Name or Equal supplies: Item 1: 125 VDC Battery Bank a. 58 cells (two of these cells will be spares). b. Brand name or equal to: Ten Modules of VRLA Absolyte GP 90G09 cells. c. Each steel tray module containing six cells. d. 344 Amp-hours @ 8-hour rate to 1.75 volts per cell. e. Nominal volts per cell = 2. f. Nominal S.G = 1.310. g. Float voltage range of 2.23 to 2.27 volts per cell at 77 degrees F. h. Maximum footprint of 25 inch by 60 inch and 49 inch high. Ten six cell modules configured in two stacks. i. 20 years design life in float applications at 77 degrees F. j. Supply all necessary hardware to install these modules in two side by side stacks of five modules. k. Modules must be capable of mounting to previously existing I Beam mounting bases meeting or exceeding standard 2005 IEEE-693 seismic qualification. Necessary hardware includes: a. Four stack tie plates and necessary hardware. b. One two post cell inter-stack connector for connection between the stacks at cells 30 and 31. c. Forty-seven two post cells inter-module connectors. d. Ten two post cells inter-cell connectors. e. Lifting straps and lifting shackles suitable for horizontal and tip-over placement of modules. f. Protective covers and associated hardware for covering cell terminals of the modules. g. Separate protective cover for each 6-cell module. Total of 10 protective covers. h. Battery warning label. i. Cell number labels with polarity indicators. Cell numbers needed are 1 through 60. j. Seismic and leveling shims k. Two grounding kits suitable for grounding existing horizontal I-beam supports to the bottom module. l. Brand name or equal to: GNB par number K17ABSGPGRND m. Grease equivalent to NO-OX-ID �A� grease for all connections or manufacturers recommended grease. n. Installation and operating instructions. o. Ship with MSDS/SDS sheet for the electrolyte and for the cells. p. Warranty in float application for telecommunications and switchgear for 7 years. Item 2: Recycling Package Old Batteries a. The contractor is responsible for recycle/disposal of ten Absolyte GP Type 90G09 Modules each containing 6 cells and associated connection hardware. b. Contractor must make all shipping arrangements for recycle/disposal. c. Contractor must provide special packing materials needed such as bags if required. d. Reclamation will have the cells on pallets ready for pickup and a forklift available to load onto truck. The pallets used for recycle/disposal will be the pallets the new modules were shipped on. e. Shipping for recycle/disposal will occur at a different time than delivery of the new battery. f. Contractor must provide certification of batteries being disposed/recycled 30 days after cells have been taken. The delivery location is: Bureau of Reclamation, located at 4 Reclamation Road, Cody, WY 82414. FOB Destination of all supplies with an anticipated delivery date of August 1, 2024. It is anticipated the simplified acquisition set aside will be a Total Small Business with Tradeoff evaluation criteria. It is intended the Request for Quote (RFQ) will be posted on or about 16 April 2024 via the SAM.gov website. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the SAM.gov web page for RFQ release and all subsequent amendments. The product service code is 6125 and the NAICS code is 335910. HARD COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Quotations are not requested and will not be accepted from this Pre-Solicitation Notice. It is required all companies are to be actively registered in SAM.gov prior to submitting a quotation for this solicitation.
