- The purchase of a 4-channel Wire Myograph Instrument.� 1.� 4 chamber self-heated Wire Myograph Pkg (3 each) Part# LS-MYO-04-SH Includes: - vessel chambers - force transducer amplifiers - temperature controllers - thermistor temperature sensors - all necessary cables, power cords, etc. - a selection of tissue supports including microvessel jaws, large L-Bars, Small L-Bars and hook tissue supports - accessory kit including calibration weights and small length of tungsten wire 2. iWorx 404 Four Ch Recorder with LabScrib (3 each) Part# IX-IX-404 Includes: iWorx 404 Four Channel Recorder with LabScribe Software 3. Normalization Module for LabScribe (3 each) Part# IX-LS-NM Includes: Normalization Module for LabScribe Software The myographs allows us to assess the effects of various workplace exposures on blood vessel function. The components of the system include the myograph chambers and attachments for different sized blood vessels, heaters, data collection devices and software for data collection. Specifications for the myographs are included in a document entitled ""specifications"" and listed below: Specifications for myograph systems: 1)� A system that can run up to 12 samples at a time so that an experiment can be completed in a single day 2) the ability to run samples of different sizes (bars and tissue supports of different sizes) 3) Software for data collection and analyses 4) heaters to maintain chamber temperature 5)� Kit and tools for set up and cables 6) computers for data collection (NIOSH Morgantown will provide repurposed computers).� Preferences 1) a system that would take less benchtop space would be beneficial both because of limited benchtop space, and because the experimenter would not have to move from system to system to due the experiment eliminating potential experimenter error.
