- Description
- The Drug and Chemical Evaluation Section (DOE) of the Drug Enforcement Administrations (DEA) Diversion Control Division (DC) is responsible for evaluating drugs and chemicals to determine whether these substances have abuse potential. Law enforcement and forensic laboratory data have reported increased encounters of hallucinogenic substances. Abuse of some of these hallucinogenic substances has been associated with adverse health events. Due to the public health threat associated with the abuse of hallucinogenic substances, these substances may need to be controlled under the CSA. Pharmacological data is required for this evaluation. DEA will requireinvestigational study results and a description of the methodology used to conduct the investigation in the form of a formal study report as per the timelines specified in this Statement of Work, if not earlier. The contractor will evaluate a dose response study of two training drugs, reference drugs, and up to 16 hallucinogenic test substances.
