- PURSUANT TO FAR Subpart 5.2�Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions, THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE OF A PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION. The Federal Highway Administration intends to solicit an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) for the below services: Title: �ITS Research and Stakeholder Engagement� This is NOT a Request for Proposals (RFP). This is a Pre-Solicitation notice (synopsis) for a full and open competitive procurement. The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has a requirement entitled, �ITS Research and Stakeholder Engagement.� The Contractor(s) shall conduct ITS research program and stakeholder support services in support of the ITS research program and USDOT, as needed on a Task Order basis. The Government anticipates a single-award IDIQ contract to be awarded for these services with an anticipated ordering period of 60 months. The NAICS code is 541690 - Other Scientific and Technical Consulting Services. The solicitation will be available electronically at a later date and may be accessed through Contract Opportunities at www.sam.gov. �It is the offeror�s responsibility to monitor the above-mentioned site for the release of the solicitation and any amendments. The solicitation will be available May 2024. BACKGROUND: The Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Joint Program Office (ITS JPO) leads and coordinates research on ITS which integrates intelligent vehicles and intelligent infrastructure. The Federal ITS program supports the advancement of ITS through investments in resource initiatives, exploratory studies, and deployment support programs including technology transfer and training. The United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) and the ITS JPO are committed to working with the public and private sectors and the academic community to foster innovation and encourage deployment to bring the benefits of ITS technologies to communities across the country. OBJECTIVE: The objective of this requirement is to provide Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Research and Stakeholder Support Services. The contract should enhance the ITS JPO relationship with the ITS industrial, academic, and government stakeholder communities. The task activities under this contract are intended to support a broader understanding of ITS in cooperation with the ITS JPO and modal administrations within the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT). The Contractor shall work across the transportation and other ITS-related industries to perform support activities oriented toward activities that capitalize on the diversity of ITS stakeholders. The Contractor shall perform support activities as defined in individual Task Orders, anticipated to fall under the following Task Areas: Task Area A: Program Management Task Area B: Meeting Planning and Trade Shows Task Area C: Research Task Area D: Education, Training, and Outreach There is no further information to be shared at this time.
