- Description
- REPLACE MILL CREEK CAMPGROUND WATER TANK, REDWOOD NATIONAL AND STATE PARKS, DEL NORTE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA. The National Park Service (NPS) at Redwood National and State Parks, located within Del Norte County, California, has a requirement for the removal and replacement of an existing 100,000-gallon water storage tank. The water tank serves the Mill Creek Campground and several adjacent park structures. The project is located at the Mill Creek Campground in Redwood State Park, in Del Norte County, California. Access to the site is off of U.S. Highway 101, approximately 4 miles south of the City of Crescent City. The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, testing, and supplies necessary to complete the work as identified in the project specifications and associated documents provided as attachments to the solicitation. All work shall be performed in accordance with local, state, and federal laws. Per FAR 36.204 the project range is estimated to be between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 237110, with a corresponding size standard of $45 million in annual gross receipts for the past three years. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. Offers are solicited only from small business concerns. Offers received from concerns that are not small business concerns shall not be considered. The contract work consists of the following: (1) Mobilization and Demobilization, (2) Demolition and Removals, (3) Site Preparation & Grading, (4) 4"" DIP Water Main, (5) 4"" DIP Fittings, (6) 4"" Gate Valve & Box, (7) 1"" Service Connection, (8) 2"" Service Connection, (9) Sampling Tap, (10) Flow Meter, (11) Meter Pit, (12) Connect to Existing Water Main, (13) Connect to Catch Basin, (14) Construct Water Tank Foundation, (15) Construct New Water Tank, (16) Reinstall Booster Pump, (17) Misc. Electrical Connections, (18) System Disinfection & Start-Up, (19) Stormwater & Sediment Control, (20) Bollards, (21) Aggregate Surfacing, and (22) Site Restoration & Cleanup. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available on/about May 9, 2024, by electronic means only and can be downloaded along with all related attachments from the Contracting Opportunities website at www.sam.gov. The RFP will close 30 days from the actual date of issuance. The offeror is responsible for periodically checking the website for any Amendments that may be issued prior to the closing date of the RFP. The Government intends to award a single, firm-fixed-price contract. Award selection will be made on a Best Value determination made after consideration of price and factors other than price (project experience, California contractor license, schedule, and past performance) as listed in the Request for Proposal. An organized site visit will be scheduled. While not mandatory, offerors are urged and expected to inspect the site where the work will be performed. See Section L of the RFP (when issued) for more information regarding the date, time, and location of the site visit.
