Description
THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE, NOT A REQUEST FOR A PROPOSAL. A SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. The intention of this announcement is to notify industry of the Governments intent to sole source to a contractor for the procurement of boats in support of Maritime Personnel Recovery and Search and Rescue. Estimated Period of Performance: 01 June � 20 June 1. The government intends to solicit on a Sole Source basis, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (Only one responsible source and no other supply or services will satisfy agency requirement), boats for Maritime Personnel Recovery and Search and Rescue. Description of requirement: Two (2) boats must be available at Calayan Island and Batan Island respectively for a total of four (4) boats. Boats must be minimum 40ft in size, have enclosed cabin space, be capable of traveling up to 50 miles in open ocean from shore (100 miles round trip) and be operable at night. Each pair of boats capable of transport for 15 pax and 2,000lbs. Crews for vessels must be provided for and any applicable requirements for operating in the region must be complied with. Crews must be capable of inserting and recovering crew from water. Contractor must be able to facilitate communication in local dialects. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.�However, if any interested party can provide capabilities to the work described in paragraph one (1), may submit a statement of capabilities, which if timely received, will be considered by the Government. Interested parties should respond no later than 2 May 2024 with statement of capability. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed requirement is based upon responses to this notice and it is solely within the discretion of the Government.
