- The United States Coast Guard (USCG) Research and Development Center (RDC) intends to solicit and award a sole-source, fixed price, Purchase Order to: AEROVIRONMENT, INC., Simi Valley, California. UEI: PN69XPUMA243. With the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) : 334511 Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing. Product Service Code (PSC): 1550 Unmanned Aircraft. The proposed solicitation number 70Z02324QRD0PR086 is assigned for tracking purposes. Description of the requirement: The United States Coast Guard maintains and operates multiple Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). Recently, avionics, which are outside of the OEM warranty period, have failed and need repair so that the Pumas can return to operational status. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responsible sources may submit a capabilities statement demonstrating the capability to repair the need repair so that the Pumas can return to operational status, with original manufacturer.
