Description
This Synopsis/Pre-Solicitation Notice is ONLY A NOTIFICATION that a solicitation is anticipated and forthcoming. All questions regarding this Synopsis/Pre-Solicitation should be submitted in writing to the Point of Contact(s) indicated below. Construction Project: The magnitude of construction is estimated to be between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000. The resulting contract will be firm-fixed-price. PROJECT DETAILS: The Government intends to solicit a Best Value/Trade Off (BVTO) solicitation for the subject requirement. The scope of the Allbeni Falls Dam powerhouse bridge crane rehabilitation is presented below. This section is a general summary of the required work and is not all-inclusive. The work described within these specifications include, but not necessarily be limited to the following: Removal and disposal of the existing equipment not to be reused including, but not limited to two trolleys, bridge crane motor and brakes, operators cab, trolley access ladders Design and provide two bridge crane trolleys, including, but not limited to new main and auxiliary hoists, trolley drives, sheave nests, wire rope, load cells, tandem linkage. Design and provide new main and auxiliary hoist lower sheave blocks and hooks. Design and provide bridge drive motor and brake. Inspection of bridge drive open gears with the optional items to replace gears and shaft. Oil flush of bridge drive enclosed reducer gearboxes. Refill with new oil. Design and provide new crane control system, including radio remote controller, operator chair, variable frequency drives, limit switches, and auxiliary control devices. Design and provide operator control cab. Complete load testing of the crane and all hoists. Design and provide north and south trolley access walkways at trolley elevation. Design and provide new bridge to trolley access all four corners of crane. Modify powerhouse wall access hatch located at the cab bridge elevation to a full-size standard door. Load testing of Below the Hook Devices in accordance with ASME BTH-1 and ASME B30.20. Optional Items to weld repair BTH devices. Optional Items to design and provide new BTH devices. Prepare and furnish O&M manuals and as-built drawings for the completed installation. Provide all necessary commissioning activities and support Government commissioning activities. The NAICS code for this procurement is 333923, Overhead Traveling Crane, Hoist, and Monorail System Manufacturing , and the associated small business size standard is 1,250 employees. �This action will be a total small business set-aside.
