No phone calls please. Please send any responses by e-mail only. As this is a Sources Sought Notice for market research purposes, the Government will not accept any technical questions at this time. This is a Sources Sought Notice to determine small business sources capable of providing Student Auscultation Manikin II per this notice under NAICS 339113 (Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing). Small business size standard is 800 employees. Product Service Code (PSC) is 6910 (TRAINING AIDS). Background: NWIHCS Omaha campus has a Student Auscultation Manikin II that is outside of it s warranty and needs to be replaced. The auscultation training manikin SAM II® was developed to be simple and easy to operate. Out of the box, SAM II® can be connected and set to teach the desired cardiac, lung, bowel or bruit sounds. Cardionics has designed SAM II® to create a straightforward yet memorable auscultation training experience, while completely eliminating the frustration of incorporating complicated educational tools in the classroom. Apart from teaching auscultation skills to the entire class, students can also practice their hands-on skills in self-study with SAM II® torso without supervision. Objective: The objective of this notice is to conduct market research to determine what socioeconomic groups are capable of providing the services. A preference is given to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) or Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) sources capable of providing Student Auscultation Manikin II for the Omaha VA Health Care System. However all responses will be considered. Indicate what socioeconomic size status your firm is when responding. General: Comprehensive auscultation library consisting of 35 heart sounds, 11 heart-lung combinations, 27 lung sounds, 11 bowel sounds and 6 bruit sounds ECG waveforms for all heart sounds Covid-19 auscultation lung sound Auscultation with any clinical stethoscope Palpable carotid pulse Delivered with a laptop with pre-installed software Unlimited technical support The vendor will provide user manuals that describe proper use, care and cleaning for users of equipment. The vendor shall provide a service manual that includes theory of operation, maintenance requirements, repair information, schematics, part lists and troubleshooting information in electronic format for use by the VA Biomedical Engineering Department. The contractor shall provide Student Auscultation Manikin II for the VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System (NWIHCS), specifically for the facilities listed below.
