Description

THIS IS AN INFORMATIONAL NOTICE ONLY The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Pacific West Area Office has a construction requirement for the following but is not limited to: Drill new water well to provide an additional potable water source for site; decommission and cap existing well in building; upgrade and add piping in wellhouse including the chlorination system; construct new valve vault near water storage tank; rehabilitate water storage tank interior; and a new telemetry system. Work shall include temporary potable water storage and phasing of work to minimize impacts to residents. All work shall include testing (of temporary and permanent facilities), connections and all appurtenances required to provide a functioning well and potable water system. Electrical: Disconnect existing well #2 while maintaining power to building. Provide new 480-volt power supply for new well. Provide PLC base monitoring /control with telemetry from water tank to wellhouse at USDA-ARS-PWS Range Sheep Production Efficiency Research Unit, 19 Office Loop DuBoise ID 83423. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, transportation, and supervision performing all required work in accordance with the plans and specifications for this requirement.� In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204 the magnitude of this construction project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. USDA will issue a Firm Fixed Price Construction Contract.� The Request for Proposal 12905B24R0011 may be issued on or around 28 May 2024. The requirement will be 100% total set-aside for small business, under NAICS Code 237110 with a size standard of $45M. Completion timeframe for the resulting contract is to be determined. The RFP will be accessible via https://sam.gov/ in the �Contracting Opportunities� section. Potential Offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for release of the RFP package and any amendments. All offerors shall be registered with the System for Award Management Registration per FAR Clause 52.204-7 and 52.204-8. No paper copies of the solicitation will be mailed and telephone requests will not be honored.
