Description
WI-GREEN BAY FISH RESRC-Customized Experimental Sinking Gillnets for Green Bay FWCO, USFWS The intent of this Pre-Solicitation synopsis is to notify potential offerors of the upcoming solicitation for a contract at US Fish and Wildlife Service, WI-GREEN BAY FWCO. This is NOT a request for a quote, proposal, or invitation for bid. On behalf of WI-GREEN BAY FWCO, USFWS Joint Administrative Operations, Acquisition & Property, Goods and Services, SAT 2 Team intends to issue a firm-fixed purchase order for Customized Experimental Sinking Gillnets. *Overall length 130 ft, Monofilament (uncolored), sinking Panel Sizes-*13 panels 10 ft long x 6 ft deep Mesh Bar Sizes 0.25, 0.375, 0.50, 0.625, 0.75, 1.00, 1.25, 1.50, 1.75, 2.00, 2.25, 2.50, and 3 inches (Note: bar mesh=square mesh) Twine Diameter *In order of bar mesh size above:0.008, 0.008, 0.008, 0.008, 0.011, 0.011, 0.011, 0.013, 0.013, 0.013, 0.016, 0.016, and 0.016 inches Hanging Ratio *0.5 Float line *3/8 inch poly-foam core Lead Line *1/4 inch braided lead-core Capabilities: These customized experimental sinking gillnets will be used as a surveillance tool in aquatic invasive species early detection programs. They will be used frequently in the open near-shore waters and rivers of Lake Michigan and must stand up to the daily demands of use. This expenditure will address the GLRI AIS early detection monitoring goals by conducting either eDNA sampling for Asian carp or traditional gear sampling for fishes and benthic invertebrates or both. GLRI Template 2024-026; Integrated Pest Management for Priority Species; 2.1.3 Early Detection Activities, Prevent New Introductions of Invasive Species. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) number is 314999, All Other Miscellaneous Textile Product Mills, and the business size standard is 550. The procurement will be a small business set aside. The Government anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price type contract for delivery within 90 days. The solicitation will be available May28, 2024 (or thereafter) with a proposed closing date of June 10, 2024. This solicitation will be available in electronic format only. Once posted, offerors can view and/or download the solicitation at www.sam.gov. Qualified Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to provide offers electronically to the listed Contract Specialist on the solicitation.
