Description
This is a request for information only. No solicitation exists for this effort at this time. The Government seeks to identify resellers of the below camera specifications. Alternatively, the Government is also interested in potential equivalents of the below camera. The camera will be installed in an observatory located in Tijuana, Mexico. Responses should be sent via email to Mary DiAngelo (diangelome@state.gov). Spectral Instruments 2000S Cryo-Cooled CCD Camera System This 2000S camera head is a 2-port Cryo-Cooled Camera with Grade 1 e2v back thinned CCD42-40-1-114 tested and installed. This sensor has non-inverted mode operation (NIMO), 2k x 2k 13.5 micrometers pixels and is coated with an Astro-Broadband AR coating. The CCD can be read from a single port, or from 2 ports, with 16-bit digitization. The camera cryo cools the CCD to operate in the temperature range from - 100C to -110C. The operating temperature will be set within this range so as to optimize the performance of the sensor. PT-30 non-Flammable gas is the refrigerant used in the Cryo cooling system. The camera system includes the cryo compressor and power supply in a separate service cabinet of approximate dimensions 70cm wide, 60cm deep and 80cm high. The camera head is supplied with 25-ft cryo lines and 25-ft of DC power cables which run from the camera head to the service cabinet. The 2000S model camera will use a He Sterling engine cooler. The camera head interfaces with the customer-supplied computer (running Windows 10, 64-bit). A 30 meter fiber optic cable (PN 2848-5) runs between the camera head and the computer. The camera window is fused silica and is coated with a broadband AR coating on both sides with the following (per surface) specifications: <1% reflection from 400nm to 800nm. The camera front mounting will attach a Vincent Associates CS 65 cased shutter. The CCD will be approximately 12-15mm from the outside of the window, and a window heater is included to prevent condensation. The camera color is black. Performance of camera: At least two read speeds available, 100 and 752kHz. Read noise at 100kHz: Goal <3.0-, maximum 4e-Dark Current: Maximum 0.003 e-/pixel/s Linearity, better than 1% nonlinearity. Minimum single pixel full well of 150,000 e- in NIMO operation. If your company is an authorize reseller of the above camera, or offers an equivalent model, please respond to this RFI with the following information: - Company name and UEI - Model of camera offered - If not Spectral Instruments, why the camera offered for sale can serve as an equivalent model with the same capabilities
