Sources Sought For UH-1N Internal Rescue Hoist Intent to Purchase on Sole -Source Basis Request for Interested Manufacturers of the UH-1N Internal Rescue Hoist. NSN: 1730-01-474-1646GA P/N: 42305-3 Noun: Internal Rescue Hoist SUBJECT: Market research is being conducted to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for qualification and production of the Internal Rescue Hoist. PR# FD2060-24-00699. ITEM DESCRIPTION The UH-1N Internal Rescue Hoist Model 42305-3 is an upgraded Model -1, internally mounted, electrically powered hoist that utilizes an industry-unique translating drum cable management system with patented cable tension and Weston braking systems. translating drum technology allows for unlimited fleet angle and duty cycle. The lubricated cable management system extends cable life and resists corrosion on internal metal components. Current applications include Bell 205, 210, 212, 214, 412, Huey II, UH-1H and UH-1N/Y. IMPEDIMENT TO COMPETITION The original component manufacturer for this item is Goodrich Corporation, which was� developed specifically for the UH-1N helicopter program. The Government does not own any data, drawings, schematics, or any other releasable technical data in support of this requirement. As a result, Goodrich Corporation, is the only known source with adequate knowledge of the Internal Rescue Hoist performance requirements and possession of the required technical data and capabilities needed to produce this item and ensure compatibility of the equipment. INTEREST The DLA/AWB Contracting Office intends to award a sole source contract to Goodrich Corporation for the purchase of Internal Rescue Hoist in support of the UH-1N helicopter program.� Other interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than June 17, 2024 by emailing Kiem Tarpley (kiem.tarpley@us.af.mil) and/or Vanessa Moes (vanessa.moes.1@us.af.mil). The Government intends to procure these items using Other Than Full and Open Competition as prescribed by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
