Description
This is a Sources Sought announcement for acquisition planning purposes and no formal solicitation for this requirement exists at this time. All businesses, regardless of size; capable of providing these items are invited to respond to this announcement and submit a capability statement for consideration. Capability statements received will be reviewed to determine a firm's previous experience performing similar work. The capability statements will be reviewed and used to determine an appropriate procurement strategy, in particular whether a set-aside is warranted or an alternate procurement strategy. The Government does not intend to award a contract based on this notice or otherwise pay for information solicited. Proposed Project: The Bureau of Reclamation, Hoover Dam, located approximately 30 miles south of Las Vegas, has a requirement for three 2300-volt switchgears with 400 amp vacuum starters. The full voltage starters are rated at 2300 volts, with (two) 400-amp vacuum contactors per piece (30 x 36 inches) of switchgear and a section (30 x24 inches) for the incoming feeder power. The two sections are bolted together into one complete piece. The unit is comprised of two 400 amp vacuum starters, one stacked on top of the other. One sectional piece of the equipment is used for the incoming line power. A total of three full units 60 x 30 inches each shall be supplied, which means six full load voltage starters total. The full voltage none reversing FVNR starters will be used to start government furnished 2300 Volt 150 HP sump pump motors. Floor space is a premium for the switchgear. The desired overall layout is 60 inches wide x 30 inches deep per unit switchgear. The Switchgear has the draw out 400 amp vacuum contactors, control switches, and relay protection for two full voltage starters with one stacked on top of the other full voltage starter (30 inches deep x 36 inches wide). The height isn�t a critical dimension, but 92 inches is acceptable. One piece of the switchgear is 24 x 30 inches for the incoming line power. The two sections bolted together as one complete unit is 30 inches deep x 60 inches wide. A total of three full sectional piece sections 30 x 60 inches x 92 inches high shall be provided. 1. The enclosures for the two medium voltage contactors FVNR shall meet NEMA ICS 6 standards. The enclosure shall be NEMA 1 type, free standing, and completely front accessible (36 wide x 30 inch deep section). 2. The other enclosure which is connected to the above enclosure is (24 inches wide x 30 inches deep). The feeder incoming section is used for the incoming line feeder from the customer/government power cable and this section feeds the power via the bus bar to the two FVNR contactors section. Delivered to the Hoover Dam Central Warehouse State Route 172, Boulder City, NV 89005. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 335313 Switchgear and Switchboard Apparatus Manufacturing with a corresponding small business size standard of 1,250 employees. Interested firms must submit the following information: 1. Name and address of Firm 2. Phone number 3. Email Address 4. Unique Entity ID Number (Formerly the DUNS Number) 5. Statement as whether the firm manufacturers the end product or not. 6. Identify if the product is American made or not. 7. Size status/SBA certifications (Small business, Women Owned Small Business, HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Indian Small Business Economic Enterprise, other) 8. Capability Statement (not to exceed 5 pages). A brief summary of capabilities to include demonstration of the company's capability to perform the work. Previous procurements performed of similar size and complexity to include references with point of contact information. Customary lead times for these types of items. Any known or foreseeable issues with manufacturing these types of items. 9. Estimated delivery date. All responses must be submitted via email no later than 12:00 pm Eastern Time July 1, 2024.
