In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source using single source procedures. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to award a single source, IDIQ contract with a base year and four option years, for items listed in attachments 03G PWS Appendix A and Appendix B for the locations listed at 03G PWS CONUS and OCONUS locations, per the PWS attached: 03G PWS_6973GH-24-R-00140_CBP Mobile Calibration and Test Equipment 03G PWS_6973GH-24-R-00140_Appendix A Standard Rate Calibrations 03G PWS_6973GH-24-R-00140_Appendix B Special Rate Calibrations 03G PWS_6973GH-24-R-00140_Appendix C CONUS Locations 03G PWS_6973GH-24-R-00140_Appendix D OCONUS Locations Rational Basis for Use of Single Source Award Procedures: Bionetics provides mobile calibration services for FAA locations within the continental United States and United States territories such as Puerto Rico. With Bionetics supporting both CBP & FAA it has resulted in the FAALC being able to combine calibration service requirements in certain locations. This has led to a reduced cost for travel/transportation and improved resource utilization in some instances. Single sourcing the FAALC CBP support requirement to Bionetics will be in the best interest of the FAA by allowing for continued cost saving and maximizing resources management.
