- Sources Sought Notice NextSeq 1000 Sequencing System & Installation Sources Sought #1135522-SS This is a Sources Sought notice Only.� This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. �This Sources Sought is issued for information and planning purposes only as part of USDA ARS market research and does not itself constitute an RFQ. Background The USDA Agricultural Research Service requires a Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) platform to advance research regarding North American Atlantic salmon aquaculture and genetic improvement. The purchase of this instrument will allow for in-house high throughput sequencing of DNA and RNA. Requirements System Requirements for NGS Instrumentation All specifications are based on the requirements for accurate high-throughput sequencing of DNA and RNA libraries: Kit configurations include 100, 200, 300, and 600 cycle kits. Sequencing with these flow cells requires no conversion steps from library preparation kits. Dry Instrument Design: all reagent fluidics are contained in the disposable reagent cartridge, resulting in zero run-to-run contamination, less maintenance, and no system washes. Produces sequences with >80% of bases higher than quality score Q30 Capable of producing >100 million single end reads per flow cell Run times less than 48 hours per flow cell Shipping, installation, and training must be included 2.0����� Place of Delivery ����������� USDA, ARS, NEA, New England Plant, Water and Soil Laboratory, 8 Greenhouse Rd, University of Maine, Orono, ME 04469. 3.0 ���� Delivery Schedule Items and installation within sixty (60) days after the receipt of the purchase order. Delivery shall be between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excl. Federal holidays. The Contractor Shall: This Sources Sought is only for the purpose of identifying potential sources as part of USDA ARS market research. The Government does not intend to make an award based on responses to this inquiry. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. Responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible.�� The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of qualified sources including any Small Businesses; HUBZone small business; service-disabled, veteran-owned small business; 8(a) small business; veteran-owned small business; woman-owned small business; or small disadvantaged businesses.
