- Description
- Introduction This is a Sources Sought notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. Project Summary The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Vaccine Research Center (VRC) is seeking a Surface Plasmon Resonance Alto Instrument with Nicosystem Pro that measures binding kinetics of biomolecular interactions. Specifically, NIAID, VRC is seeking one (1) Alto 16 Bundle (item 4032) Surface Plasmon Resonance Instrument with Nicosystem Pro (SPR) Instrument that can perform the following applications and meet the requirements listed below: 1) The instrument should use 2?L of sample and can perform five 3-fold serial dilutions of samples automatically. 2) The SPR instrument should feature versatile temperature controlled at 15oC, 25oC and 37oC. 3) It should be able to measure kinetic association rates up to 1 e9 1/(M*s). 4) The instrument should be able to measure kinetic dissociation rates between 1e-5 to 1.0 (1/s). 5) It should be able to measure equilibrium dissociation between 1e-12 to 1e-3 (M) 6) The kinetics cartridge should contain up to 16 unique surfaces for sample ligands and 48 sample analytes on a single kinetics cartridge. 7) The instrument should be compact, with dimensions of 1.5H x 1W x 1.5D ft (46H x 35W x 51D cm) and a weight 51 lbs (23 kg), making it easy to transport and saving valuable laboratory space. 8) It should ensure rapid transitions, with a nearly instantaneous transition time (<0.1s) between the buffer and sample, saving valuable time in the laboratory. 9) The instrument should have two connectivity formats: Local Mode and Cloud Mode. 10) Its applications should include binding kinetics, screening, epitope binning/mapping, and quantitation under assay design. 11) The instrument should have direct and capture assay capabilities for immobilization strategies. 12) It should have Cycle Styles include multi-cycle kinetics (MCK) and Single-Cycle Kinetics (SCK). 13) The instrument should have a one-click analysis and flexible export are available for data processing. Anticipated Period of Performance It is anticipated that an award will be made on or about September 06, 2024. Delivery of equipment will be required as soon as possible. Capability Statement/Information Sought If your organization has the potential capacity to provide a Surface Plasmon Resonance Instrument which meets the minimum salient characteristics listed above, please provide the following information: Organization name, address, point of contact, email address, website address, telephone number, UEI number Type of business (e.g., 8(a), HUBZone, Other than Small, etc.) pursuant to the applicable NAICS code Identification of any Best-in-Class contract vehicles including Government Wide Acquisition Contracts (GWAC) (e.g., GSA schedule, NITAAC) they may possess or are aware of that would support this possible requirement. If your organization does not provide the products/services under a GWAC, please identify availability as OPEN MARKET ONLY. Tailored capability statement addressing the capability of the instrument to meet NIAIDs minimum salient characteristics. Capability document shall be no more than six pages. Place of manufacture for the Surface Plasmon Resonance Instrument and if applicable, any accessories/components. Evidence that the organization is an authorized reseller or manufacturer of the instrument. Only Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) products are acceptable. Submission Instructions Interested businesses who consider themselves qualified to provide the above listed Surface Plasmon Resonance Instrument are invited to submit a response to this Sources Sought Notice by August 12, 2024, at 3:00 PM EST. All responses under this Sources Sought Notice shall be emailed to Hershea Vance at hershea.vance@nih.gov.
