- Description
- Amendment 1:The quotation deadline is extended until August 15, 2024 and the anticipated award date is updated to August 20, 2024. See attached 75N95024Q00479_CSS_Amendment 1. The National Institute on Aging (NIA) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) leads a broad scientific effort to understand the nature of aging and to extend the healthy, active years of life, and is the primary Federal agency supporting and conducting Alzheimer's disease and related dementias research. The purpose of the acquisition is to purchase Brand Name or Equal Olink Target 48 Mouse Cytokine kits and the Signature Q100 system, along with the required installation and training needed to perform these assays. We are seeking to measure levels of multiple cytokines in serum samples collected longitudinally from mice. Due to the limited volume of blood that can be collected from live mice and the number of other tests that have been or are being performed in these samples, only 5uL of serum is available to perform this analysis. The research requiring this brand-name or equal products is being conducted as part of the Study of Longitudinal Aging in Mice (SLAM), a comprehensive assessment of normative aging in mice. As part of this work, we are performing a comprehensive assessment of longitudinally collected serum samples to identify age related biomarkers and circulating factors associated with senescence. Circulating cytokines are important biomarkers of aging and senescence, but are not detected in the mass spec based proteomics and metabolomics approaches that have been used previously on these samples. See the attached combined synopsis and solicitation (CSS) and attachments for complete requirement details.
