The purpose of this sources sought/RFI is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification relative to NAICS 334516. Responses to this sources sought will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought, a solicitation announcement may be published. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses for a solicitation announcement. SCOPE: 2.1. The vendor shall deliver a new benchtop refrigerated centrifuge to the VA Medical Center in Washington, DC. Only new equipment will be accepted. The vendor shall ship the refrigerated centrifuge to meet the requirements and capabilities listed within the scope. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS: Please note, all items listed below must be technically equivalent to or exceed the Beckman Coulter Allegra V-15R Benchtop The Allegra V-15R refrigerated benchtop centrifuge with its compact design frees up space on the bench, the centrifuge has great versatility with 10 rotors and a comprehensive selection of adapters to allow for a variety of applications from cell and blood separation to high-throughput screening, it has advanced temperature management to spin faster and longer without over heating the samples, it is convenient to use with simple and seamless soft-touch lid closure, and enhanced safety features with biosafe rotors, automatic rotor recognition and a built-in imbalance sensor to ensure safe and efficient operation. 2.4.1. One Allegra V-15R compact, benchtop refrigerated centrifuge with the Cell Culture Package (C63439) includes: Allegra V15R Refrigerated Centrifuge. VS 4.750 Swinging-Bucket Rotor. 12 x 15 mL Tube Adapter (Qty 4) 5 x 50 mL Tube Adapter (Qty 4) 2.4.2. Manufacturer: Beckman Coulter 2.4.3. Model: Allegra V-15R 2.4.4. Centrifuge must have a set speed of 100 to 13,500 in 100 rpm increments. 2.4.5. Centrifuge must have a set RCF of 10 to 20,412 x g in 10 x g increments. 2.4.6. Centrifuge must have a speed display, with actual rotor speed in 1 rpm increments or actual RCF in 10 x g. 2.4.7. Centrifuge must have a speed accuracy of + 30 rpm of set speed from 100 to 13, 500 rpm. 2.4.8. Centrifuge must have set time from 10 seconds to 99 hours 59 minutes and 59 seconds or continuous (hold). HH:MM for time >= 1 hour, MM:SS for time 500C. 2.4.12. Centrifuge must have temperature accuracy of + of set temperature. Applies to 4 to 250C temperature range. 2.4.13. Centrifuge must have acceleration profiles with 10 acceleration rates (0-9), including maximum torque. 2.4.14. Centrifuge must have deceleration profiles with 10 deceleration rates (0-9), including maximum torque and no braking. 2.4.15. Centrifuge must not exceed the following dimensions: Height 39 cm (15.4 in), Width 60.5 cm (23.8 in), Depth 63.5 (25 in). 2.4.16. Centrifuge must not exceed a weight of 110 kg (243 lbs). 2.5. ACESSORIES: 2.5.1. Lid, Bucket, VS 2.5 -96, set of 2 (C63159). Manufacturer: Beckman Coulter. 2.5.2. Set of 2, BioSafe Bucket Covers for VS 4.750 Swinging-bucket Rotor (C63153). DELIVERY: The vendor shall deliver necessary equipment and accessories to the VA Medical Center, Washington, DC as required in the quantities specified above. WARRANTY: At a minimum the refrigerated centrifuge must include a 1-year warranty on all parts that covers all manufacturer defects.
