- Description
- The 502d Contracting Squadron, hereby provides notice of its intent to award a sole source, firm fixed contract, to SafeLandings Worldwide LLC., 4007 McCullough Ave., San Antonio TX 78212. The contract is expected to be awarded under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) - Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The contractor is responsible for items and services necessary to provide and install a shock-absorbing flooring system for Child Development Centers. �The flooring system shall meet the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (USCPSC) indoor playground guidelines; meet American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) F1292 and ASTM F2373 minimum critical fall height requirement (three (3) feet (at .97-1.0 in. total thickness)) to protect children; ASTM F710-22 and ASTM 2170-19a guidelines; Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 1910.22 guidelines; and Architectural Barriers Act (ABA) requirements. The estimated delivery will be 140 days after contract award. The supply and incidental services will be for Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA)-Lackland, TX 78236 and JBSA-Randolph, TX 78150.� This NAICS code is 325212 and the size standard is 1,000 employees. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement within 15 calendar days after publication of this notice. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The 502d Contracting Squadron will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice of intent. Only written responses will be considered. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this notice of intent, the Government shall determine if a solicitation will be issued. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award. Interested parties are encouraged to furnish information by email only with RESPONSE TO INTENT TO SOLE SHOCK-ABSORBING FLOORING SYSTEM in the subject line. All documents submitted will not be returned. All interested parties shall submit clear and convincing documentation demonstrating their capabilities to satisfy the requirements listed above to Benjamin Windham, Contract Specialist, by email at benjamin.windham.1@us.af.mil, and to Brian Cooper, Contracting Officer, by email at brian.cooper.18@us.af.mil. The capability documentation should include general information and technical background describing in detail the prospective contractor's capabilities and experience that will demonstrate the ability to support these requirements, including proof of certification that the product meets federal standards. This notice will expire by 28 August 2024 at 3:00 PM CST.
