Description
SOLE SOURCE/NOTICE OF INTENT The 30th Contracting Squadron, Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA 93437, intends to solicit and award a sole source firm-fixed-price contract to REINHAUSEN MANUFACTURING INC. The action will be executed in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services, and 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Soliciting from a single source not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold. See attached redacted Sole Source Justification for additional details. The requirement is to provide all equipment and labor for repairs for the K2 Low Tap Changer (LTC) tank located at Substation K on the following unit: LTC Serial Number: MRC019644 LTC Type: RMV-A-1320Y Motor Drive Type: MD-I Rated Current: 1320 A Voltage Equipment: 15 kV Phases: 3-Phase Date of Manufacture: 01 Aug 2009 Technical and administrative components of the requirement: 1. Technician will perform will an inspection to determine the reason for �C� phase current yellow light LOCKOUT position. 2. The tripping and stopping ON position test will be conducted. 3. Electrical limit verification, Mechanical limit operation, contact engagement, and correct operation of vacuum interrupter assembly will be performed. 4. Fiber optic wire for center, right and left position will be installed. 5. A new junction plate, monitoring system cable, VIM model C service kit, PM17AY relay, Current transformer (CT) hardware, and other minor LTC hardware will be installed. 6. Conduct a complete LTC operational Test after all repairs are completed. 7. Submit Operations Report to Program Manager. This notice of intent is NOT a request for quote or proposal. However, interested parties may submit a narrative describing their capabilities and qualifications to fulfill the requirement via email to aaron.morse@spaceforce.mil with a copy to tyler.troge.2@spaceforce.mil no later than 19 August 2024 at 4:00PM Pacific Time. Any costs incurred in submitting a capabilities statement will not reimbursed by the Government. Additionally, the information received will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct the procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
