- Special Notice Special Notice Page 2 of 2 Special Notice *= Required Field Special Notice Page 1 of 2 NOTICE TO INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The VA Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO-8) intents to issue a firm-fixed price single source procurement to LAP of America Laser Applications LLC, for a CARINAnav Virtual Simulation Patient Laser Marking System at VA Caribbean Healthcare System (VACHS) in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Proposed services contract/Supply is for a 120 days ARO. to LAP of America Laser Applications LLC, for a CARINAnav Virtual Simulation Patient Laser Marking System at VA Caribbean Healthcare System in USA. The applicable NAICS code for this acquisition is 334510 with a business size standard of 1,250 Employees and PSC 6515. The proposed contract is for items for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the Authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). This is a notice of intent to award a single-source procurement action and is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation package is available. Firms who want to challenge the single source must show clear and convincing evidence of their capability to provide the supplies, and that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Those responses are to be submitted via email to Contract Specialist, Edwin R. Correa, edwin.correa1@va.gov; no later than August 26, 2024, 12:00 PM EST. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. NCO-8 will not provide any reimbursement for any costs associated or connected with providing any capabilities information. Any information submitted in response to this notice of intent is strictly voluntary. This will be the only notice the Government's intent to solicit, and award to one source to satisfy this requirement.
