Description
1. Requirement Overview: The 164th Airlift Wing Maintenance Squadron (MXS), Memphis TN, has a requirement to service C-17 aircraft storage batteries and is looking to upgrade to using an automated battery maintenance system to maintain, repair, and manage their battery inventory. This requirement is for a brand name Christie/MarathonNorco, 10X Automated Battery Maintenance System (ABMS) to upgrade the existing charging equipment. 2. Minimum Specifications: - Compatible with existing and emerging aircraft battery chemistries by Marvel AERO - Ability to simultaneously use and manage multiple Christie RF80-K chargers. - Designed to conform to USAF aircraft battery servicing directions/guidelines IAW 8D2-3-1 - Capable of automating the process and providing data monitoring to increase battery shop productivity - Accurate monitoring of cell/battery voltage, current, and temperature with the ability to provide maintenance records and reports - Equipped with data back-up utilities - Ability to short out depleted cells during discharge process - Cell voltage alert condition display features with of reporting, and recording - Electrical power min. 110V AC to max. 220V � 3 Phase 50/60HZ - Capable of being pre-programmed for routine servicing of automated battery processing - Ability to detect problems with battery cells and auto emergency shut down charge/discharge operations - Unit must have operation and service manual (can be digital or paper copy). - Must include tooling or other means to accommodate system routine calibration/servicing - Initial start-up and operator training for end item users by vendor 3. Initial Set-up and Training Provide on-site operator training on the new Automated Battery Maintenance system; to include: correct operational processes and any regular minor maintenance or servicing required.
