- Description
- The Weapons and Energetics Department (D550000), the Airborne Instrumentation Systems Department (AISD) (D/E30000), and the Threat/Target Systems Department, Target Systems Division, Seaborne Targets Externally Directed Team (STEDT) (MAO-EB4520M) of the Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division (NAWCWD) intend to procure various types of materials such as metals, alloys, Acrylic, Delrin, fiberglass, plastic, PVC, rubber, and Teflone (fluoropolymer). Such materials may sustain and receive preparatory processes such as deburring, drilling, tapping, cutting, welding, water jetting, laser cutting, milling, turning, media blasting, tumbling, boring, broaching, honing, grinding, heat treating, shearing, forming, galvanizing, anodizing, coating, polishing, Blanchard grinding, centerless grinding, trepanning, honing surface grinding, lapping, heat treat, coating, shearing, forming, anodizing, and polishing. Within AMTD, STEDT, and AISD, a ""Project"" is defined as the entire effort undertaken by each Division to realize a product which meets customer defined requirements, on behalf of that customer. This effort includes fabrication by organic internal resource, procured material and services to feed that organic resource, and procured 'off-the-shelf' elements that support the customers' complete project needs.� It also includes distributed activities necessary for efficiency and product compliance such as quality management, inventory management, and data base management. AMTD, STEDT, and AISD will specify the applicable criteria for each requirement through the issuance of individual delivery orders. The contractor shall provide supporting documentation and certification verifying compliance to applicable specification requirements for each product ordered. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any firm believing it can fulfill the requirement identified above may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than 14 days after the date of publication of this notice, which shall be considered by the agency.� The written response shall reference solicitation number N6893624R0039 and provide a capability statement that clearly indicates the firm�s experience, assets, background, and ability to perform the required work without compromising the quality, accuracy, reliability, and schedule. Interested firms must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at https://sam.gov/ to start doing business with the federal government. Written responses to this notice shall be submitted by e-mail to the point(s) of contact listed below no later than 14 days from this notice date.
