Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products and commercial services is provided to advise that the Government intends to solicit a firm-fixed price purchase order sole source award, for the SIR-Spheres Y-90 Resin Microspheres from Sirtex Medical Inc, located at 300 Unicorn Park Drive Woburn, Massachusetts 01801.� This acquisition is for the VA Palo Alto Healthcare System at 3801 Miranda Avenue Palo Alto, CA 94304-1207.� The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii) and 41 USC �1901, only one source will meet the Government�s needs. This notice satisfies the requirement at FAR 5.201(b)(1), requiring publication of the proposed contract action. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes.� However, IAW FAR 5.207(c)(16)(ii) any business that believes it can provide�SIR-Spheres Y-90 Resin Microspheres�may submit a capabilities statement or quotation which shall be considered by the agency, by providing written notice to derek.brown7@va.gov.� Telephone requests will not be accepted.� Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. Responses will be considered by the Government; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposes acquisition based upon responses of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Your response should include a statement of capability, DUNS#, business size, federal supply schedule (if applicable) and socio-economic status.� This synopsis does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service.� The government will not pay for any costs incurred by responses to this notice.
