- Description
- 36C25024Q0919 Question & Answers from 08/23/2024 Site Visit Who will run the low voltage power and make the wall penetrations for the differential pressure transducers? - Vendor to provide. You call out NIST traceable calibrations. The process that 99% of companies use as well as outside calibration services use of comparing your existing device inside a refrigerator using a NIST traceable reference device is NOT a NIST TRACEABLE result, regardless of what they print on their certificate. In order to qualify as a NIST traceable result, you must follow NIST methodology which includes testing in a know medium using a physical constant or device designed and calibrated to hold extremely tight temperature for the purposes of temperature validation like commercial oil bath or calibration test blocks. To test ambient temperature and humidity to a NIST Traceable standard, the devices must be chambered in a NIST traceable device that will generate a know ambient condition. The comparative process of using a NIST traceable reference device in the environment is valid and does meet a CAP standard as is used by many hospital systems but it is NOT NIST TRACEABLE. What are you really wanting to use as your calibration standard and if you choose NIST, are you going to hold the vendor to using a process that is accepted by NIST? - Equipment used to calibrate sensors must be NIST certified. What is the largest attachment size you can receive via email? - A ZIP file is acceptable. If the file size is too large, can you access it by Microsoft OneDrive share? - Yes. Can the Columbus VA supply electronic copies of floor plans of the main facility and 5 Clinics? Yes Can the Columbus VA send floor plans with the equipment placed on the floor plans? - No, but a spreadsheet will be provided with specific location of sensors. Can the system be Wi-Fi? Or a hybrid system between receiver based and Wi-Fi? No Wi-Fi. If Wi-Fi can be used, are there any areas that do not have good Wi-Fi coverage? Will the Columbus VA accept 2 different quote options/versions? - No, only based system. 1 for Wi-Fi and 1 for the Receiver based system? Since the system will be on your local (virtual) server, do you require the system to VA TRM Approved? - Yes. To meet your regulatory requirements listed, do you require the transmitter to have a color display showing current temperature of the unit? - No. To facilitate your growth, do you require single server software with ability to have unlimited users? - Yes. To facilitate your growth, do you require single server software with ability to have unlimited inputs? - Yes. To enable staff to efficiently respond to alerts and provide tracking, do you require alert acknowledgement at the transmitter with ability to select a valid reason at the transmitter, rather than just quieting the alert? - No. On page 4 section 3. Background, you state in regard to the existing ViewPoint system has, aging infrastructure is restricted in scope and advancement. What makes it restricted in scope and advancement? - The current sensors cannot monitor differential pressure and have been discontinued by manufacturer. While the current CheckPoint sensors are compatible with our ViewPoint system, they are outdated and no longer the most recent technology designed to allow us to take full advantage of the system s capability. On page 4 section 3. Background, you state in regards to the existing ViewPoint system, the system s software as currently configured is limited in capability and lacking compared to more recent applications.. What makes it limited in capability and lacking? - Due to old CheckPoint sensors hardware, we are unable to take full advantage of capability of Mesa Labs ViewPoint software. If the incumbent supplier is bidding and partially upgrading, how will you make sure quotes are reviewed apples to apples? - Proposal will be evaluated based on technical capability and considered as long as pricings remain within the approved budget. Do you require a transmitter that can monitor up to 4 inputs of any type on one transmitter? - No. To properly quote infrastructure items, will you supply a list of inputs with their locations? - Maps, Locations, and sensor types will be provided. Do you require 24/7/365 Live technical support with company trained technicians? - Yes. Is there a requirement for supplier to SDVOSB? - VA contracting office to determine. Is it preferred to transition the system over time using existing hardware? Or is it preferred to replace everything at once? - Replace everything at once. Is it preferred to have existing data migrated from the current system or to start over with a new platform? - Start over with a new platform. Could you please provide the VA Columbus requested RFQ bid submission format previously mentioned in the August 23rd live meeting? Please stand by for this answer to be posted on 09/10/2024. Could you please provide digital copies of floorplans? - Yes.
