Timothy Myers Contracting Officer CONTINUATION PAGE 36C25925Q0003 Courier Services Grand Junction VA HCS Offeror Questions Note: Some vendor questions are similar that are slightly rephrased differently than other vendor questions, but the questions and the answers are the same. Who is the incumbent? What was the cost of the final option year of the previous contract? Answer: This contract will be replacing multiple contracts, therefore current incumbent or cost information would not be pertinent to effectively evaluating the new contract. How many cubic feet of storage are required for transportation, and what is the maximum size and quantity of items to be transported daily? Answer: Each vehicle should be of sufficient size to carry a minimum of four 2 x2 x2 boxes or coolers and meet all state and local safety requirements. Please review section IV.2.e of the Statement of Work (SOW). Please clarify if the government will require the vendor to provide equipment (coolers, totes, locks, and temperature logs? Answer: The vendor will need to supply these. What is the weekly, monthly, or annual estimated trip volume for as-needed trips orders? Answer: Estimated to be 3000 trips per year. Please reference Section III in the Statement of Work. Can you please confirm the location address for the Mesa Public Library? The SOW lists it as 530 Grand, but an online search shows it as 443 N 6th St. Answer: The library is on the corner of Grand and N 6th St. The physical address is 530 Grand, and 443 N. 6th is the billing address. Regarding specific employees information: It is common practice for small businesses that the drivers, cars and other equipment used for a contract are not sourced until after an award has been made, for cost effectiveness and to reduce loss. However, we will be forwarding our standard Training Certificates-Procedures for your reference, is this information acceptable? Answer: Yes, this is acceptable. Are Clinic trips expected to be same day round trips? Meaning, are we picking up at the VAMC, then delivering to the clinic and picking up, then dropping back off at the VAMC? Answer: The courier will have an empty tote that they will take to the CBOC. The CBOC staff will load the tote. The courier will drop off the filled tote at the VA and pick up a new empty tote. Repeat the next business day.
