- NOTIFICATION OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to University of Central Florida (UCF). To provide Development of training and training reinforcement materials for a supervisory workshop focusing on age-inclusive workplaces in the hospitality industry. The NIOSH Center for Productive Aging and Work is conducting a study to develop, implement, and evaluate a training intervention for supervisors and managers in the hospitality sector that provides guidance and practical strategies for designing an age-inclusive workplace. As part of this effort, UCF conducted a series of individual interviews and focus groups with hotel workers and supervisors and gathered information on age-related safety and health risks, prevention strategies for reducing those risks, and barriers/facilitators that may impact the development a more age-inclusive workplace in the hotel industry, and particularly for hotel housekeepers. These services are currently being performed under contract 75D30122P15147. This information will be used to develop a supervisory training workshop on designing age-inclusive workplaces for hotel workers. This activity requires expertise conducting research on the wide range of occupational safety and health risks faced by hotel workers, as well as experience collecting and analyzing qualitative data and conducting intervention research. Modification 0003 to contract 75D30122P15147 adds Task 4-6 for development of training and training reinforcement materials for a supervisory workshop focusing on age-inclusive workplaces in the hospitality industry. Tasks 4-6 to be performed with this modification, build off the data collection strategy, individual interviews and focus groups conducted and a qualitative analysis completed by ERC in Tasks 1-3 under contract 75D30122P15147. ERC has the required knowledge and is capable of providing these services with seamless continuity and without disruption and delays to the project. The period of performance for these services is 9/01/2022 � 6/30/2026. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responses received within one (1) day of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
