DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT Purpose and Objectives The Federal Communication Commission (FCC) provides the overall guidance/policy for the public safety radio systems (such as those used by police, firefighters and emergency medical technicians) tooperate in several portions of the 800 MHz band.
