- Description
- This is not a solicitation announcement. The purpose of the Sources Sought Notice is to gain knowledge of the potential qualified sources that are capable of providing Advanced Microcircuit Emulation (AME) research and development (R&D) services meeting DoD and DoD contractors needs for readiness and logistical support. The AME Program was developed to economically support DoD requirements for support and emulation of smaller, faster and more complicated microcircuits that are no longer available from industry. The AME Program develops and demonstrates next generation technology/processes for devices and assemblies beyond the scope or incompatible with direct extensions of the Generalized Emulation of Microcircuit (GEM) Program's current technology. An initial draft of the AME Program Statement of Work (SOW) is incorporated into this posting. The intent is for the Government to continue the AME Program as a sole source acquisition with SRI International (03652). Interested potential sources are invited to respond to this announcement by providing, as a minimum, the following: 1. Demonstration of capability for the maintenance of existing AME form, fit, and function (FFF) reverse engineering and Emulation technology, and the development of additional AME Emulation technology as described in the SOW; 2. Demonstration of capability to maintain, enhance, and demonstrate Emulation technology for end Customers including DLA Land and Maritime (the Federal Stock Class (FSC) 5962 Inventory Control Point (ICP)) and the broader DoD Community; 3. Demonstration of capability to transition new technology developed under the DLA AME research and development contract to production manufacturing within the GEM Program. Information submitted should include qualifications related to experience, personnel and facilities; as well as any other specific and pertinent information as pertains to this particular area of procurement that would enhance our consideration and evaluation of the information submitted. Responses to this announcement shall be emailed to Alexander Moller (alexander.moller@dla.mil) at DLA Land and Maritime, Strategic Acquisition Program Directorate.
