Description
This notice is posted in accordance with FAR 13.501(a) Sole source acquisitions.� The Library of Congress (LOC or Library), National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled (NLS) provides selected partner libraries across USA the capability of duplicating talking books via a system called Duplication-On-Demand (DOD). Part of this process involves printing labels for digital cartridges produced. The labels are printed on 5x6 110lb scored and foldable index card stock. These are very special labels and require a well-tested standard printing environment. NLS currently utilizes the Lexmark MS725, MS711, and MS823 Series laser printers for this process. The Library has a requirement to extend its expired original equipment manufacturer (OEM), Lexmark printer warranties and it on-site technician agreements to keep the printers functional and the DOD system operational for NLS� partner libraries. Document name: JA-Post Warranty Service for Lexmark Printers-FINAL_Redacted The Library intends to fulfill its requirements by issuing a sole source award to Lexmark International, Inc.� Any firm that wishes to be considered for this requirement and believes that this does not meet the Sole Source criteria must submit a capability statement that demonstrates its ability to meet all the requirements described in the attached Statement of Work. The capability statement must be received no later than October 16, 2024.� The capability statement must not exceed five (5) double-spaced pages and shall include the following information: Company name, UEI number, address, point of contact, phone number, and e-mail address Corporate structure (corporation, LLC, sole proprietorship, partnership, limited liability partnership, Professional Corporation, etc.) References, including name, phone number, and e-mail address of individuals who can verify the demonstrated capabilities indicated in the statement. If no firm expresses interest in this award, the Library reserves the right to proceed on a sole source basis if the conditions warrant it. In accordance with LC06.305, Availability of the Justification, the Justification and Approval to issue a sole-source award to Lexmark International, Inc. is posted with this notice.
